AFC First Financial Corporation, founded in 1947, provides energy efficiency financing in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. It is the exclusive lender for Pennsylvania's official ENERGY STAR loan program, Keystone HELP, which is principally supported by the Pennsylvania Treasury Department and Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. AFC plays a key role in the administration of the Connecticut Solar Lease Program along with Gemstone. Upon regulatory approval, AFC First will become a part of Great Bear Bank, now in organization.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund
The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund’s (CCEF) mission is to promote, develop and invest in clean energy sources for the benefit of Connecticut’s ratepayers. CCEF is the principal sponsor of the Connecticut Solar Lease Program, the nation’s first such residential solar leasing program. The program assists low to middle income Connecticut residents with access to solar PV systems with no up-front costs and affordable monthly payments. CCEF, through its ongoing relationship with Gemstone, has a strong interest in seeing other organizations utilize this innovative financing approach.
