Turnkey Program Implementation

Once program parameters and objectives have been set, we can develop, finance, launch, administer and operate the program on a complete turnkey basis with the assistance of our operating partners.  This service ensures the client that their program will be developed and managed by a team of partners with relevant experience in both consumer/small business financing and renewable energy/energy efficiency deployment.  Due to the longevity of systems such as solar PV, our programs tend to span long periods with deployment terms of up to 5 years and financing terms of up to 20 years.             

Consulting

We work with our clients to understand their goals and objectives and then evaluate the variables that affect financing program design and efficiency.  Resulting analysis can be used to consider differing program designs (loan vs. lease for example), implementation costs, end user cost/benefit, and administration issues. 

Renewable Energy Credit Aggregation and Monetization

Many renewable energy systems located in residential and small business environments are not large enough on their own to economically take advantage of the incentives provided by the potential sale of environmental attributes such as Renewable Energy Certificates.   Yet in many cases the entities (e.g., utilities or public utility boards) that provide incentives or facilitate these small systems need to economically qualify and/or purchase those environmental attributes for various requirements (e.g., renewable portfolio standards or voluntary programs).  Gemstone develops and operates programs which aggregate the environmental attributes of groups of renewable energy systems and thus can provide the client with useful levels of certificates which have been properly verified and accounted for.  If desired, we can manage the sale of the environmental attributes over a long term period.  Gemstone has developed its proprietary Solar Dividends™ offering to be utilized with turnkey financing programs.
